CROSS ISLAND TRAIL

Scope of work: Installation of two ten-foot wide timber pedestrian bridges 522' and 181' long, respectively.

The bridges are supported by 12" diameter piles on 12' centers. They feature 10" x 12" pile caps, heavy-duty 4" x 10" stringers, 3" x 10" decking, and 2" x 8" handrails mounted on 4" x 6" posts.

The longer of the two structures was constructed from water using a floating crane; the other was constructed from land.
