NORTH EAST YACHT CLUB RENOVATION

North East River Yacht Club

Scope of work: Renovate a nearly 80-year-old marina which began as a wharf with piers and docks added in a piece-meal fashion. The new state-of-the-art marina includes 77 floating slips and moorings with better capability to handle longer boats in berths 50 to 60 feet long, a big increase over the 43 slips in the old facility.

The project included:

  • Demolition of several hundred feet of deteriorated fixed piers,
  • Dredging of 5,000 CY of material from the marina basin, taking it to a depth of -6 feet MLW,
  • 926 LF of floating concrete wave attenuator with 12 floating fingers,
  • 4,300 SF of floating docks,
  • 570 LF of timber boardwalk,
  • 165 LF of vinyl bulkhead,
  • Two 30' long gangways,
  • Tie piles, and
  • All new utilities: electric, water, and sewage pump out.
