With licensed engineers on staff, Dissen & Juhn provides design-build services to the marine construction industry. Our design-build team consists of experienced courteous professionals who are dedicated to doing the job right.
Our design-build process starts with an initial consultation and on-site visit to assure that your objectives and the particular characteristics of the job site are clearly understood. We then create alternative design concepts and recommend that which best satisfies the engineering, budget, and time requirements. Once a design has been selected, we will initiate any permits that may be required prior to construction. Concurrent with the permitting stage, we create final project drawings and specifications. Prior to construction, your project manager will sit down with you to review our construction methodology and time line. Finally, we perform a post construction review of the project to assure that your objectives have been met.
Advantages of the design-build process include:
- the total cost of the project is often lower,
- typically there are fewer conflicts between the engineer and the contractor since they are collectively responsible for completing the project,
- and the added convenience in dealing with a single supplier for both aspects of the project.
